“This book is about leaving home, finding home and the limits of what you can and can’t take with you. Jamie takes you with her, delivering magic and music in the images along the way.” ~ Buddy Wakefield, Stunt Water

“A wonderful collection of stories, creating pictures in my mind as I read and re-read.” ~ Ruth O’Hearn

“I love this book. Jamie Houghton’s poems are dense, funny, and gorgeous. With every reading they reveal more and more.” ~ Donald Fisher

Jamie Houghton takes one of the great epics of literature and reimagines it. She climbs inside the heart of Homer’s story and lays bare the inner workings of characters we may think we know. She does this in a lyrical and sensitive way that communicates strength and vulnerability.
